Luton AC’s Des Wilkinson claimed a bronze medal in a closely-fought M50 110m hurdles final at the World Masters Athletics Championships in Porto Alegre, Brazil, on October 25.

Having won his semi-final, the 50-year-old from Stockwood clocked 14.67secs in a closely-fought final as he was beaten to gold and silver by two USA athletes as the three were separated by only 0.09secs in a dip for the line.
